Direct Injuries to the Mouth or Teeth

Whether or not you are undergoing orthodontic care, you should see your regular dentist right away if you experience a direct injury to your mouth or teeth. If you’re unable to reach your family dentist or alternate emergency facility, please call our office and we will do everything we can to assist you.

Usually, an X-ray of the involved tooth or teeth is done to determine the extent of injury. If a tooth has been knocked out, severely displaced or fractured, your family dentist will have the necessary materials to treat these injuries. After you’ve seen your family dentist, please call our office to schedule an appointment so that we may repair any damage to your braces.
